My roster has changed

PostTue Dec 13, 2016 10:46 pm

I'm new to Stratomatic. I set my roster last night. Today when I looked at it several of my players are no longer on the roster and are now with other teams in my league. What happened?

I think that what happened is that what you thought was your "roster" was actually your draft list. When the computer runs the draft, it goes through everyone's draft list and assigns players accordingly. So, if you listed a player that no one else had on their draft list - you were given that player. But if other teams also put that player on their draft list, then the computer gives that player to the team that had that player highest on their draft list. In this game, there is only one George Brett, so he can only be on one roster.

Thank you for the clarification. That explains the reason for the rankings in Step 2. I guess that is explained in the instruction somewhere. Thank you for taking the time to respond.
