If he doesn't, then we will know for sure that God doesn't care about baseball.

NOW THAT WE HAVE 12 ... can BD please explain how we're going to draft. First, there's an order for picking an initial Franchise? Then how do we compete for all those players who played on multiple Franchises?

For example, the season you get to pick #1, you get to decide what franchise you want, then you draft your roster. You're done, and #2 drafter gets to pick his team. There wont be competition for a player because only one guy is drafting at a time.

The way Bernie has it set up, we will all join a live draft. Then Strat pushes the Live Draft through. Then the first drafter puts his team together, and so on

Welcome aboard everyone and thanks for joining the Post WWII & Expansion Franchise Dream League. It filled in near record time of just 4 hours! I've set up the Post WWII & Expansion Franchise Dream League as a private league and have PMed everyone the password, so check your private messages. Please join ASAP. You need not draft a team to join. Use any team name. You can change it to your franchise name once you select a franchise. I'll post the draft order here once someone runs a randomizer, so check back often. Once the draft order is determined and all managers enter the league, the person with the first pick can select his franchise, draft his entire team and select a ballpark. Once he is finished, the manager with the second pick will select his franchise, draft his entire team and pick a ballpark that has not been previously selected. The process will be repeated until all 12 teams are picked.

The rules reagarding player eligibility are as follows:

Player eligibility: Any Post WWII or Expansion card, regardless of year and team, based on a Major League Baseball season, of any player who played for the franchise as set forth in http://www.baseball-reference.com/ . That means appearing in at least one game for the franchise. He does not need to have a card for that franchise as long as he played for the franchise. NeL cards are not eligible, as they are not based on an MLB season.

Examples: Pete Rose played for the Reds, Phillies and Expos during his career. Any of his cards are eligible to be used by those franchises; Pedro Martinez played for the Expos, Dodgers, Red Sox, Mets and Phillies during his career. Any of his cards are eligible to be used by those franchises.

Eligibility exceptions: Willie Mays is eligible only for the Giants; Hank Aaron is eligible only for the Braves; Duke Snider is eligible only for the Dodgers; Yogi Berra is eligible only for the Yankees; Ron Santo and Billy Williams are eligible only for the Cubs; Frank Thomas and Joe Horlen are eligible only for the White Sox.

Have fun and good luck! - Bernie

Just so this is crystal clear in my mind anyway - I believe there are many players that span Pre-war to Post-war - I think you are saying their Pre-war card can not be used if they have both - correct? But what if they did play for your franchise in the pre-war years, but did not in the post-war years, but they do have a post-war card?
