Rosie makes a good point. Barnstormers reserves "finals" spots for the top nine finishers. Then spots 10-45 form three semifinals leagues, with the winner of each making the finals. The battle for a spot in the semis may keep the field more engaged.

You could argue this tournament is harder than the barnstormers due to the fact you have to figure out who the heck you have. Adds a randomness that I love but sometimes you just suck.
