couple comments: First, can anyone contact dc irish and confirm that he/she wants to sign up. currently, dc irish is not on the list.

regarding the change in the playoffs. I'm not the commissioner but it seems to me too late to make that kind of change at this point in the signups. Another good reason to keep the present format is to keep momentum into the finals; the finals teams have a series of votes that is (usually) followed by a message board draft - so that requires a couple weeks and adding in 3 more leagues in between the regular season and the finals will make the finals seem like an afterthought. IMO, the existing mystery tournament is a great format and wouldn't benefit from a longer and more complex format.

Regarding the rule changes both are good points. I am in either way.

Please, let's not confuse things here. There are no rule changes. The commissioner has stated that the rules are the same as previous mystery tournaments except that the 70s will be DH (it was no-DH in previous tournaments). If you would like to add comments or suggestions, please start a separate thread.
