Gold Medal Achievements

Many of the Gold Medal markers are horribly skewed into unreachable tiers. For instance to achieve a "Gold Medal" for single season batting average you must have a player hit .441 or higher, and to achieve one for stolen bases you must have a player steal 160 plus bases. However, according to the ATG Record Books only three times in history have players hit higher than .441 and only three times have players stolen 160 bases, this is out of tens of thousands of seasons (or leagues).

While most of the other achievements to reach Gold are very difficult and rare but also attainable. Maybe they will tweak some of these markers because it would appear they were slapped together haphazardly.

I have noticed something else that is very odd. I noticed one GM got an award for Wade Boggs hitting .405 but on that very same team Josh Gibson hit .416. There is no mention of an award for Josh Gibson, only a mention for Boggs.By the way Gibson had 668 at bats, so that was not the issue. ....

Hey, I am happy they finally do have some managerial stats and awards but I think they could tweak some of the tiers for awards...

By the way, I am aware that if your player's feat occurred before a certain (rather recent) date it is not counted but Boggs and Gibson were on the same team, a recent team.

And the ATG Records while I am sure are not 100% complete because they rely on a manager reporting his player's feat they do go back many years.

Did you check the full trophy case? I had a similar occurrence recently with single season SBs...the main records/trophies screen shows the silver achievement, but the full trophy case shows the gold achievement

Interesting, I did but I will take a second look, maybe I am mistaken... It was someone else who gained these achievements, and I just stumbled across what appeared to be a mistake.

No, they did not receive an award for Josh Gibson only for Wade Boggs.
