Not sure Devenski, Phelps or Lugo will be Starters in the online game. Would not surprise me to see them as relievers only. If they do keep their starter rating I would also not be surprised if they wind up unleashed.

Devenski 4 starts 44 relief 108 IP
Phelps 5 starts 59 relief 87 IP
Lugo 8 starts 9 relief 64 IP

Blanton 4 starts 32 relief last year and got starter status

I'd guess they all get starter status. Lugo for sure. and all are in regular set. too many innings to be unleashed

Innings pitched has little to do with Unleashed vs Regular it's all about game balance.

Last year Logan Verrett, 4 Starts, 47 IP was listed as S5 R3 in the board game, lost the S5 in the online game.

2012, Brett Anderson made 6 starts, 35 IP, unleashed only.

There are other example,s I just don't have time to research them.

I"m not saying they are definitely unleashed, or definitely will lose their S rating I'm just saying it would not surprise me if either of both happened.

I would bet dollars to donuts that Devenski loses is SP rating. He was mostly a RP.

Lugo 8 starts 9 relief 64 IP

108 innings, 87 innings and even 64 innings are way more than what Logan Verrett 47 innings and Bret Anderson 35 innings had.

Innings DO matter and there is no way a guy with 100 plus innings or even 80 plus or 60 plus will be left out of the main set.

Every player in the last 3 sets with 5 GS (Devenski had 5, not 4) has been rated a SP. Some with 70, 80, 90 IP. None had over 100 IP but I'll take your dollars for my donuts that GS trumps IP.

I didn't say they would be left out, I only said it would not surprise me if it happened, or It would not surprise if the took away the Starter rating and made them pure R3's especially Devenski.

That's all I said, made no definite declarations. ;)

In Devenski's 4 starts he gave up 11 earned runs in 19.2 innings...WHIP above 1.5. He should not have a starter rating. Overall 2.16 era and .914 whip would make him a stud starter which clearly he was not.

Where is the 4 starts coming from? You're the second to post that. 1.26 WHIP in 5 starts.

That's weird. I posted the stats on the 3 and got the stats from Baseball Reference. When I posted it this morning they had Devenski for 4 starts. They now show it as 5. wonder how that happened. it definitely said 4 earlier this a.m.
