Just to clarify stevep107's question - Folks seem to be using "unique stadium" in different senses. Do our ballparks for the Finals need to be "double unique" - that is, one we have not used in previous events AND one different from the ballpark used by the other 11 players in the Finals? My reading of the rules make me think it just must be different from any ballpark we have used in previous events. I don't see anything about us having to have 12 different parks. Thanks for any clarification.

Also remember, although ballparks tend to go with the last picks, you can draft your ballpark at any point in the draft.

"There will be a one round draft for unique ballparks to be done on the forum boards. The draft order will be the order of finish in tour points. Since each semi-finalist will have already used five different ballparks in Events I-V, they may not re-use those ballparks in the semi-finals. So, if a manager is picking 12th for the live ballpark draft in the semi-finals, he will have to choose from one of the 14 remaining ballparks (30 minus 5, minus 11 ballparks already drafted in that semi-final event)."

This paragraph is specifically from the semi-finals section. I did not re-write it as specific to the Finals League because it probably just seemed redundant to me (the Finals have always been unique ballparks which were not previously used).

For clarity, if Commissioner Key is willing, he can just edit it into the rules post now so it will be there for next year, and avoid any confusion.

Apologies to all, this was simply an editing oversight on my part last year. Anyone who has spent time with the tour already knows the semis and finals are both "double unique" stadiums (hence, the necessity of a stadium draft). Looking at it with fresh eyes, I see it can use some clarification.

We can use this thread as a check-in while we wait for the draft thread to open.

I've been in New York City for the past 24 days, but I get on a plane to head home in the morning. I'll be on the grid tomorrow and ready to draft the rest of this week.

Is everyone else on board?

As an aside, if the past is any indication, you can expect the draft to go about one round or twelve picks per day. So if we start tomorrow, we can be loading this time next week and have several days to tweak our teams before opening day the following week.

**Note** Steve is anywhere from 13-16 hours ahead of us in the land down under and Marc is in Canada so he can't pick if the Leafs are on tv. But if everyone just checks in occasionally, it will actually move along, slow as it may seem at times.

GL all -

Thanks for the clarification on the stadiums.

I'm ready to go as soon as the draft commences.

As Jeff noted, I live in Western Australia which is 13 hours ahead of EST in North America - but I don't anticipate that will delay the draft as I can (and will) check the forum frequently to ensure that I don't slow things down.

Let's get things rolling...
