believe it or not, Trevino is pretty high on my draft list. He has a better year than anything on Bo Diaz' card. I'd want to think about it, but I'd rather give up Diaz.

There are 4 catchers that are core5 or core 4 to Cleveland and Seattle: Chris Bando, Andy Allanson, Dave Valle and Scott Bradley. I think it would be better to make those 4 catchers available as either completely free agents for auto-drafting purposes, or free agents to only the one-catcher teams and each of the one-catcher teams can autodraft one of those four and then, if any of those four go undrafted (for example if 2 teams tried to draft Bradley) then they would need to pick up one of the four that went undrafted. So then Trevino, Berryhill, and Martinez would not be reassigned and I could put Trevino #1 on the Reds draft list.

franky thanks for the critical thinking on this. My apologies, I should've spotted this as a potential bump.

Let's try this angle first, I've looked even further into the player affiliations and have uploaded a Catchers 80's spreadsheet accessible via the link below. Again no making stuff up, all the players have played for the clubs they are listed under. There are still a few teams tight on catchers but this recent review added about 40 new affiliations. I've pulled the Padres out of the league so everyone has an opportunity to review this spreadsheet and make any adjustments to their autodraft card.

This spreadsheet voids the previous catcher assignments. The only assigned catcher will be Kennedy, who the Padres control anyway.

Let me know if there are any questions
Tks for everyones patience as we iron this out

I'm also happy to post your teams catchers here in the forum if you'd rather see them here.

Great thanks. I want to make sure everyone has had a chance to consider the new catcher affiliations before the autodraft runs. I'm going to pause until 9am PT today (thursday) to enter my team to give anyone the chance to shuffle their autodraft list if they want.

tks

Expos "Notsies" - I sent this by email, but I'm posting it here as well:

I'm calling my ineligible players "notsies" - as in they are not my players.

Anyway, here are the Expos "notsies"

Rick Honeycutt, SP, Texas , LA Dodgers
Scott Terry, S/R, St. Louis, Cincinnati
Mark Grant (Mudcat), SD, SF, Atlanta
Concepcion SS Core 5 Cincinnati
Lemaster, Core 5, SF

That's it for the Expos

Looking for some advice:
Any drops or trades I would want to do, even just to get guys on the right teams are on hold until I resolve the catcher situation. Don't want to do something that messes up the system down the line so just looking for guidance.

Mets have Schroeder who isn't mine. Stearns is my Core5 and Red Sox have him. We can swap those two but we can't do that (or anything else) until I get an additional catcher anyway. Other Mets options are Trevino (Reds have - legal), Carter (Expos have - legal), and Fitzgerald (Expos have - legal), and Cerone (available on market, but also legal for Bos, Atl, Mon, Tor, Mil). Should I pick up Cerone?

Twins have Laudner which is fine, but I need another one before it'll let me do anything else.
Other Twins options are Engle (available on market, but also legal for Montreal), Salas (on White Sox), Wynegar (on Angels - not valid, but also valid for Yankees). So should I just pick up Engle? Or get Wynegar from Angels somehow?

Rosie? Did I get this advice right? Or Rosie, do you want to have everyone "freeze" in terms of picking up available free agents, so as to do a free agent draft on the boards? Some guidance here please Rosie - thanks!

OK - I've PM'd Rosie, but here's the deal - the season start is delayed until Feb. 20 - BUT:

*ACCORDING TO MY FRONT OFFICE PAGE, THE WAIVER PROCESS IS STILL SCHEDULED TO RUN THIS AFTERNOON AT 5 ET!!!**

If we don't hear from Rosie before Rosie before the waiver wire (AND FRENZY) runs at 5 PM ET, I STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT EVERYONE GET READY FOR THE WAIVER WIRE AND FRENZY TODAY.

In fairness to everyone in the league, make sure that you use the waiver process to make the additional drops for "notsies" - players that should NOT be on your roster, as part of the waiver process.

I suggest that you put your desired free agent "competitive" signings first, [u][b]and then use waiver pickups for core 5 players to make your needed drops for notsies. It would be ideal to use your core 5 pickups to drop your notsies, because they should be guaranteed to drop that way (i.e. no competitive bidding for the core 5 players).

Then, use the post-waiver frenzy to drop the rest of your notsies (if you couldn't drop them all in waivers).

**Also, when making your drops through waivers, make sure you first drop the players who are subject to possible ownership by more than one team (competitive bids). Since players that are wholly-owned by one team will ultimately get to the right owner anyway, it isn't as time-sensitive to drop them. Drop the players that are subject to competitive bids first. But then, complete the process in the frenzy by dropping the core 5 players (and wholly-owned players), so that the teams that own their rights can get their pitching staffs up to 10, so that they can make the rest of their required drops (i.e. it is a domino effect in some cases, where teams are short on "owned" pitchers, and their core 5 pitchers are accidentally on other teams rosters). ***

Also very important - after the waiver process is completed there will also be the frenzy. Make sure you grab the free agents that are eligible for your team during the frenzy. Many of them won't have been available during waivers, due being accidentally on other teams rosters. Therefore the frenzy will be very important to get your desired free agent signings, for players that are eligible for your team!

Rosie? Did I get this advice right? Or Rosie, do you want to have everyone "freeze" in terms of picking up available free agents, so as to do a free agent draft on the boards? Some guidance here please Rosie - thanks!
