Since I am new here, just wanted your guys opinion on what is the best way to discuss trades in this league.

I have sent emails to six different teams and have gotten a response back from two of those teams. Do you think it would be better to use the PM system on this site instead of personal email addresses? Wondering if my emails have been deleted because you may not have recognized my email address.

I would utilize both methods and when they respond, then ask which one they prefer for future talks.

Hey Eddie,

Personally I only reach out to people via PM, but I have no problem getting emails either so I would echo Paul's sentiments.

Also I think you will find that as the new cards are released today, things around here will start coming out of their football coma and there will be more activity and quicker responses to your proposals.

Hello all,

I just wanted to check in here with a couple of items:

1) Did I miss the vote on Falcon's proposed rule change? Personally, I don't think changing that rule is necessary, but I'm not strongly opposed to it either. But I am curious as to what's going on with the voting.

2) PM'ing is probably easier for me, but i'm certainly not opposed to emails either.

3) I just want to verify that my interpretation of the prospect draft rule is correct. I understand that we can make all of our prospect picks even if it brings us over the 6 prospect limit and then drop whatever excess we might need to, but I'm assuming that we could also trade an extra prospect at that time instead of dropping him. Is this correct? Which would also mean that the "you can't trade a pick that you don't have" rule does not apply to the prospect draft, correct? In other words, let's say that i have 4 prospects after my cuts/promotions. I can make my 1st and 2nd round picks and then trade my 3rd and 4th round prospect picks (instead of making them and trading or dropping them later.) Am I understanding all of this correctly?

4) Hopefully the new cards will be out sooner rather than later, but in the meantime here's a list of guys who I wouldn't mind moving this off season: (although I'm willing to listen to offers for just about anybody not named Syndergaard, Turner, or Benintendi.)

Gardner, Brett- LF-1e3, good speed and OB vs R
Flowers, Tyler- 40 OB chances vs R and L
Refsnyder, Rob- utility guy with 42 OBvsL
Heaney, Andrew- no card this year but still a promising young lefty
Rollins, Jimmy- pretty terrible in real life for the Whoite Sox last year, but looks like a great card vs. lefties
Lagares, Juan
Utley, Chase
Goins, Ryan- 2b-1e15 ss-2e10
Rodriguez, Francisco- c6
Maurer, Brandon
Libertore, Adam- solid lefty specialist
May, Trevor
Bastardo, Antonio
Devers, Rafael (pros)
Phillips, Brett (pros)
Fulmer, Carson (pros)
prospect picks

Looking for draft picks, starting pitching, strong defender in CF,

I interpret #3 the same as you.

I didn't send out the vote yet as I figured we could do that first thing when the cards come out and everybody is active on the boards/email

Wait a minute. We can go over the 6 prospect limit? Does that sound goofy to anyone else? I mean, if there's a limit then doesn't that mean you have to stay within the confines of whatever that limit number may be? Otherwise, why have the limit in the first place?

yes, fred.... you may make all your picks in the Prospect Draft but then must immediately cut down to 6 following the draft. I've stated this previously and sent it out in email as well. You can NOT call someone up at this time as that should have been done during the call-ups period.

so, following the Prospect Draft you HAVE to cut down to 6 players. but upon further review, I think we should stick with you must cut extras not trade them (sorry, Dr. Publix....that does work around the idea of limited prospects)

i feel like you should have to cut down before the prospect draft.
that whole "one man's trash is another man's treasure" seems to apply here.
