New Franchise League - draft begun on ILC

Once we get the last spot filled I'll ask for a randomizer. I've never done it before, is there anything I need to know? Once we have the draft order I will set up the draft on ILC and we can start drafting. Please review the rules again before we begin the live draft, and let me know if you have any questions or if anything needs clarification. Thanks!

I might suggest - if you haven't done so already (I couldn't find it) - is to declare the manner in which to read the results of the random number sequence. I believe there are two choices and it is always better to declare that prior.

I understand the part about having a card for the given player for one of your teams, but want to clarify if you have to use a card for one of your teams or are any cards available for a given player as long a he has at least one for your team. Example: can Pittsburgh use Bonds card from the Giants or are they limited to just his Pittsburgh card? Thanks.

FYI, traditionally the first number goes to the #1 team on the list.
.....so if the first number is 9 then you would pick 9th.

The less common option is that the # 9 team goes first.

I think you should only be able to use the card for one of your franchise teams. Otherwise the whole point of the league is lost.

Ok sorry, it took me a while to get going today, I think I have the flu. Anyway, we have the results. We can begin drafting on the ILC thread under "Franchise Draft".

As far as card choice, I'm going to stick with what the majority of franchise leagues, and say that as long as the player has a card for one of your franchises, you can use ANY card the player has. Thanks for pointing that out though. If we do this again, I'll change the rules to reflect it.
