I think you might need to make a ruling on one Ross Barnes of the 1873 Boston Red Stockings. At first glance you might think he belongs to the Braves Organization since a Boston Red Stockings team was the predecessor to the now Boston - Milwaukee - Atlanta Braves. But that franchise did not start until 1876, I believe (my baseball reference website is on the blitz - anyone else having trouble with it?). But I am recalling from memory because I was frustrated by this fact in another franchise league in which I was denied the use of Ross Barnes when I had the Braves franchise. So technically, at least according to baseball reference, you have another franchise here.

The only Barnes card we have is from 1873 BRS-Boston Red Stockings. The Red Stockings were a precursor of the Boston Braves (1871-1875) and part of that franchise. It may appear in some sources that the Braves did not form until 1876, but that's because the NL didn't form until then. But the Red Stockings of 1873 did evolve into the Boston Red Caps to the Beaneaters, Doves, and Rustlers before settling on the Braves. I would have to say that Barnes is Brave.
