Real MLB 2-Team League

PostThu Mar 02, 2017 1:26 pm

OK, here is the deal, I want to play with a primarily Cubs team, so that means we will draft our first teams as we sign up but to make it fair based on the salaries below, we are going to have a 4-round draft. Salary Cap $100 million. And Trading is allowed (who just wants to sit there and watch all season?)

First Round - Sign up and pick your team
Second Round - Serpentine of Round 1, Choose your second team
Third Round (same order as Round 2) - Choose 1 player from the 6 teams remaining
Fourth Round (same order as Round 2 &3) - Choose 1 player from the 6 teams remaining

This should balance the salaries out greatly and give everyone a chance to pick their favorite team and still be competitive.

Quick questions:

1.) Assume we will be using DH, please confirm..
2.) advanced pitcher injury rule?

Yes, DH, and Not sure on that injury rule. I am not a huge fan of it. I would be against using it unless a majority want it.

Questions:

1. Is everyone using the home park of one of their two drafted franchises?
2. Do you retain the rights of any franchise players not on your roster? (unless they're traded, of course)
