I noticed a couple things... Rick Porcello was listed on Page2's keeper list. Also, in this league, we have to promote or drop a prospect if he has a card, right? If that's the case, then maybe you want to keep Alex Bregman...?

Looks like Page2 drafted Porcello pick #138 in the last draft, while schnoogens took Porcello in the supplemental round after Page2 had already taken him. Surprised no one caught this until now.

***UPDATE - Never mind, Page2 drafted Porcello in 2013's draft at #138. Schnoogens drafted Porcello in the 2016 supplemental. I can't find transaction records at the moment that show how Porcello may have changed hands between 2013 and 2016.

Nevertheless, on the Googledoc, Porcello is shown on Page2's roster, so something needs to be fixed.

Remember in this league the guys showing on your roster listed in the league are the ones you are in control of. During the season I don't update the google doc for transactions during the season as you can pick up players that are in the FA pool. I picked up Porcello from the FA pool here:

Then I guess I have to bow out of this league. I obviously don't have time to manage a free-for-all on guys I drafted and I simply can't lose a top tier pitcher this way. I don't like that rule at all - guys you draft should remain on your team until the next season, period. Someone else is welcome to my team with Mike Trout.

To be fair, it has always been stated in the rules as Page2 described, and those rules have always been easy to find on page 1 of this thread. I am in a lot of leagues too and need to refer to each league's rules from time to time to keep things straight. It doesn't make sense to me that you would want to give up your team because of this. You've been playing by these rules for several years. Now when you realize that you made a mistake, you would rather bail on the league? I hope you reconsider and stick around. It's a tough lesson to learn, for sure, but not the end of the Strat-world.

I appreciate all you do running the league but this is a sign I just don't have the time anymore. I don't feel like throwing away a credit on a lost season and I won't ever be able to monitor players versus their real life performance in order to not lose a player that I drafted. When this league started I had a 1 year-old kid, now I have a 5, 3, and 1 year-old. I will stick with the NAKL league where I can throw my attention at the draft and count on those players being on my squad unless I explicitly cut or trade them. Losing a card like Porcello on what I consider a dumb rule just leaves a bad taste in my mouth and I don't see me ever being able to take advantage of anyone else that way due to lack of time, so I just can't compete. Schnoogens has left the league. I would like to thank him for his years that he spent playing and getting back to us quickly about dropping out.

If any of you know of someone that my like to join ask them to post here. If we haven't got anyone by Monday I will post the opening on the main boards.

Also at this time it would be a good idea to check and make sure that the players that you have listed on your keeper lists are under your control on the roster sheet on the SOM site.

State Basketball Tournament update, my Brother's High School Girls team got 3rd place we lost to the team that won it all (they went undefeated) in the semi-finals
