The last thing this set needs is more players from the bad old days of the "Whites Only" era.
I want to see players from the ,1970s, 1980s, and 1990s, from my youth. I know many of you grew up in the Dead Ball Era but trust me those players couldn't make minor league teams of today.
Radagast, not to be disagreeable, but, I grew up in the '50s and '60s, so for sure want those days represented, as to the past before that, I take your point, but I still like seeing those old players in the set.
Does anyone else agree that the pricing for the entire ATG8 set needs a drastic overhaul?
Moreover, how about Strat finally making all the cards in the ATG8 set their super-advanced versions so that all the cards are on the proverbial "level playing field"?

4. Adjust pricing (although Id be okay with moving this to number 3) The other issue is that im not sure it would actually be better, given the oddities of this latest batch of cards current pricing, some of which was brought up already on this thread.
I like your list Salty. But the super advanced versions of the cards already exist. So it would just be a matter of swapping them out in the player database. How difficult can that be? We should have super advanced versions for all years that they are available.
On Babe vs Schupp: Maybe not 1.32 mil worth difference but the Adams card is a little more likely to give up a hit to LH hitters, and RH batters. The Schupp card has more strikeouts on it. Not sure what value the formula gives to those. And Schupp is left handed. So the Schupp card is better than Adams card. Now whether 1.3 mil worth better can be debated. Hard to say anything definitive without know how much value the formula places on LH vs RH pitcher. This card comparision might suggest too much is given to either strikeouts or LH vs RH or maybe both.
I will second that. His price gets set too low and he becomes just another super reliever which is the role I have seen most often for that Babe Adams card. In fact my first use of Adams was stumbling on him as a super reliever and riding that to one of my first ATG titles.
