Well figured I'd do the available pitcher list tonight, of course my home internet isn't working for some reason. Impossible to do on my phone. So all that to say we are delayed.

I just posted up the Pitchers. Check to see I didn't make any mistakes.

I'm far from an Excel wizard, but here's what I did:

-Copy and paste the active roster to a new excel sheet
-Type Ctrl C C or show Clipboard (top left on my bar)
-Manually Copy each column (or use Shift Ctrl, Down Arrow; Ctrl C) for each column, one by one
-Go to an open column and click Paste All (Ctrl V) from the Clipboard
-Shift Ctrl, Down Arrow that new column of non-available players
[Assuming you have the full available list by name in the same format as the list you just used]
-On the full available spreadsheet Copy (Shift Ctrl, Down Arrow; Ctrl C) the list you just created and paste (Ctrl V) below the full available list of names
-Select the entire column of names
-Use conditional formatting to select unique cells and highlight them (Conditional Formatting>Highlight Cells Rule>Duplicate Values>Change to Unique>Select OK
-Manually mark off available or unavailable players in a separate column
-Sort
-Copy (Cntrl C) and Paste (Ctrl V) to Google Sheet

Any better tips from an Excel wizard out there? I don't use Macros or Formulas, so there may be an easier way to accomplish this, but it took me less time to post the names up than to type this out.

I still don't have home internet so don't be doing roster updates/changes until I do.

Couple guys stand out right away that are not available, Strasburg, Maeda.

That said since the list are up if we want to start the draft we can now. I don't want to hold it up because of my issues.

Since the list, draft, rosters won't be updated though everyone will just need to be extra vigilant in ensuring the player they draft is available.

Thoughts anyone? Shall we start or wait?

Of course. I figured this was containable, as you can always back out that sheet's changes with a click, and it wouldn't affect the actual rosters.

Strasburg's first named is spelled Stephen, but listed as Steven (so not listed as a duplicate value).
Kenta Maeda is listed as Madea on the roster.

That's the rub with duplicate values any mispellings won't get caught.

I'm ok to start or wait until some of my other drafts wrap up.

I'm cleaning up some others I see as not matching

Ok, cleaned up. There were several names without spaces next to their commas LastName,FirstName. I changed that on the roster sheet, and correct the spelling on a couple players, but otherwise didn't alter the roster sheet.
