How Does Hal Pick A Lineup When One Is Not Filled Out

As for the question, it can be changed to how does Hal select any position player when a lineup isnt filled out in the ATG game?

Hal has a very strong preference for homerun power, he often chooses the player with the most power over many other stats. Seems like this bias was at work here.
