Current Rules / Shifts
$120 million salary cap, autodraft, DH, and 5% free agent penalty – unless these are modified by a rule below.
bigmahon - "(You should care more about) MY LIFE" - Cards before 1964 are ineligible
FoggyOne - MIRACLE METS:
* EVERY TEAM MUST HAVE ONE PLAYER (AND ONE ONLY) FROM '69 METS AT ALL TIMES. YOU CAN TRADE AND RELEASE/ADD BUT ALWAYS ONE AND ONLY ONE.
* YOUR TEAM NAME MUST CONTAIN THE LETTERS "M", "E", "T", "S" IN THAT ORDER AS THE ONLY CAPITAL LETTERS. MAY BE CONTAINED IN LOCATION OF TEAM. EG: "MainE ThespianS"
RangerJoe - Every team must have a SP worth >$8M (I would have said 9M, but 8M should work with shuffle the deck below). Every team must have a SP worth between $7M-8M, every team must have a SP worth between $4M-6M. The remaining SP (including those for relief) must be worth <$3M

pacoboy - 5 Card Stud !
5 CARD STUD - each owner will get 5 cards they must keep the entire season...and here's how we do it
1 – Shuffle the deck ( I downloaded the ATG 8 Sheet, took out the < 1964 cards and NEL, sorted sheet by NAME and numbered all the UNIQUE players - a total of 1410 as of now....I will continue to reduce the deck pending subsequent "SHIFTS IN THE SAND").
.....once the FINAL PLAYER POOL - AGREED TO BY CMINTON has been established then....
2 – Burn the top card – The TOP card for any player is eliminated for the entire season !
3 – Deal each player 5 cards …..
We will run a Random Number Generator dealing each team a set of 5 numbers from 1 thru "Z" with "Z" being the total remaining players as determined by CMINTON – these will represent 5 players you are dealt randomly. Like Poker, you can keep 1,2,3,4,or all 5. Throwback what you don’t want and get a new cards (same method as before but this time only a set to replace what you threw back)
Now you are left with 5 cards (PLAYERS) you must keep the ENTIRE SEASON.
NOTE: I wrote this before RangerJoe's rule, thus I'll add that if you get 4 or 5 pitchers over $1 then those 4th and 5th cards will need to be re-run again until you comply
4 – The way we deal the cards is like this:
A. Run 1 set of 60 unique numbers 1 thru "Z". Team 1 gets the 1st number, 13th number, 25th, number, 37th number, and 49th number etc…… just like dealing around the table.
B. Every owner states which cards (Players) they are KEEPING. All others get thrown back. Those players that are kept get removed from my list and all remaining players renumbered for the remaining set.
C. We run a NEW set of “X” amount of unique numbers from 1 thru “Y” “X” = the number of cards thrown back and “Y” = the remaining number of unique cards.
D. Unlike set “A” above, this time team # 1 gets the first numbers to fill his 5, then team 2 gets the next numbers to fill his 5 etc….just like a dealer does in real Poker.
5 – the owner may use ANY card for their players that is NOT the top card.
subjected to my NOTE above regarding RangerJoe's rule - again, if you get stuck with 4 or 5 >$1 mil pitchers, we will perform step "C" until you are compliant.
...if subsequent / similar rules further limit the eligible roster, we will again also keep performing "C" until you are compliant with all rules and have 5 eligible players which can not be cut for the entire season.

cminton - "Hands of Stone"
No "1" fielders on your team. They cannot be a 1 at any position, because HAL might put them in.
MEAT - "Alphabet Alliteration" Each team must have one, and only one hitter whose first and last name begin with the same letter. Since he must comply with 64 and beyond and not be a 1 defensively, here's a list, but any of these cards 1 defensive players cards are ineligible. I think I got them all...just offense.
(Mantle, barry bonds, bobby bonds, sosa, mcgwire, dietz, daulton, decinces, buddy bell, brett butler, ashby, buckner, sax, bob boone, bonilla, johnstone, cecil cooper, chamblis, bob bailey, milt may, geiger, popovich, weiss, bonnell, renick, tony taylor, mota, benedict, javier, lacy, rafael ramirez, rollins, teufel, bob bailor, mario mendoza, denny doyle)
The Biomechanical Man - “ESPN 30 for 30” – You must keep at least $30 million “cash available” until you win 30 games.
F.O.X - This theme is way too shifty already so I will do one that doesn't shift it any further - each team must have one player that has between three and fifteen letters in either his first or last name.
ehlekev1 - SHOW OFFS MUST GO!! -- After Game 120 has played.....the TOP CY YOUNG VOTE GETTER and TOP MVP VOTE GETTER must be immediately dropped! No other team can pick these over-achievers up for rest of year. Both players are banned for life!
CAVEAT--if other league rules make it IMPOSSIBLE for the team to drop that player - then the player is SAFE and doesn't have to be dropped.
Mr. Baseball World - All teams must have 17 hitters who get at least 100 plate appearances by game 120. Bench one hitter for each shortfall, starting at highest priced one, until in compliance.
