thank you ratio;

Andy you were clearly correct;

Just don't think it makes sense to have 100 nominations for 25 cards--
rather than having half the nominations get in we are only getting 1/4 which will mean 3/4 of the folks who nominated will be disappointed. :(

I mean, the reason to actually vote on which cards get in, at least to me, is more about having a bit of quality control and letting the community decide if say a Gates Brown type of card should be in the set or not.

I couldn't agree more. The problem is, and I have said it before, we are adding so many chocolates to the assembly line Lucy can't keep up. The process, designed to make us happy to have a voice, causes disillusionment because so many more tasty chocolates pile up on the floor than in our boxes. Not Rosie's fault btw! He does a great job managing this process.

huhhh????!!!!

What happened to the 50 card addition we are supposed to get?

thought it was 2 smaller ones and one bigger one every year?

50 is the add after this. Its 3 @ 25 and 1 @ 50

Let me provide some insight into my thought process...
To me the mission statement of this process is 'To add vetted cards at a regularly scheduled cadence across an inclusive process"

We've established the regularly scheduled part with the 4 adds spread out across the year.
To me the nomination and voting process is much better than throwing 25 cards over the fence on a first come first serve basis.
So the last piece, inclusiveness. What that means to me is establishing a process where more folks can take part in the card add process, which hopefully in some way increases interest, feedback and engagement. 100 individuals nominating one card each = potentially 50 more folks interested. It also exposes the rest of us to 50 more suggestions.

All the above seems to be good progress, so without breaking my arm to pat myself on the back it feels and smells better than before. As always I'm open to suggestions, but please keep in mind our Holy Trinity when adding ATG Cards...
1. Frequency
2. Quality
3. Inclusiveness

tks

Rosie--
Ill def give credit where its due;
so far the frequency of card adds has been a yuge improvement.

As far as quality goes--- I think you would get it by closing nominations at 50 if we are only adding 25 cards, with plenty of inclusiveness.

And-- while this is def. not a fault of anyone here-- not having links to (most of) the actual cards is the biggest issue when determining quality.
I've actually looked up every card they have available to see; but of course you can't really see the card b/c the def is not accurate for what you are getting from any 60s 70s or 80s card.

Lastly, Ive got no issue if we continue to add cards in the big 50 card add this way-- what bothers me is using half of that on a single franchise. Id instead suggest one add where SoM simply adds 4 franchises per year or some such, and then would like the rest to be open. Otherwise you are skewing the process of getting cards for all.
