Hey Rosie, since we are short of 100 nominations, how about keeping nominations open until 11:59 P.M. Pacific time the day after the BSers "Final Four" make their new card picks. If they pick some players already nominated, I'm sure those of us who nominated the selected players would like the opportunity to nominate someone else.

Let us know. - Bernie

Sorry, but I would rather see us stick to the 'one nomination per person' and keep the pool at 80 nominees. That way it remains equitable and everyone has a better shot at getting their one nominee voted in.

Thanks,

Ahoy,

Forgot the one nomination rule:

Lets have Doc Ellis year 1974 year - he decided to go Bob Gibson on the Big Red Machine and plunk the first four batters about the Ribs and Head

1974: 12- 9 3.16 ERA; 1.15 WHIP .5712 win % 176+ innings pitched

When we started this round of nominations I hadn't thought about when the Barnstormers Tour would rap up, but its syncing up nicely. So yes agreed, let's wait and hear from the finalists and then make any necessary adjustments...although we won't wait for too long.

THESE are some of the cards we got last time....thank god for that pumpsie green card....wtf...is he an alltime great???
sometimes common sense is not all that common. no texiera...maybe that Horace clark card would be of better use!!! does anyone use these cards? the people who submitted their names should have to use them for an entire calendar year.

meanwhile....thanks for some of the hard work and research on some of the submissions so far. my approach and hope for new cards is:
1. ALL TIME greats using their best season.
2. Cards for players who have zero cards so far...lets have texiera/wells etc before another McGwire or bench card.
3. More cards for franchises that do not have many...rockies/marlins/dbacks....no more Yankees for a while.
4. If the card is under a certain value (less than 3m?), is it an alltime great?
