IMO its the prospect drafts that is the biggest problem, I don't care who has Posey, Rendon, or Gallo I still have to face them. What has happen is there seems to be a no no to try to get a better deal for a player. Its like an unwritten rule you can't broadcast, I have a deal in place for player A is there anybody else who would like to make an offer.

I I believe ALK has a major point here. The prospect draft has decimated the free agent draft , which is designed to be the quickest and fairest way to build a team . As alluded to in an earlier post, I drafted Trout and Harper in a free agent draft .
That could never happen today. Most of the breakout rookies have been resting on the shelf a year or three and never see a free agent draft . After two or three years of prospect drafts a leagues loses , to a large degree it's upward mobility, Building through the prospect draft takes years and in truth involves a bit of luck ,whereas the free agent draft is timelier and less of a crap shoot.
And so I would suggest we drop the prospect draft and maybe even drop our accumulated prospects as we go forward. I believe this would reinvigorate the moribund nature of the free agent draft and help to bring about a more competitive league .
