Thanks to the 9 managers who voted today. Even with a list of proposals as long as a typical California ballot, the results are in! Since all rule changes must pass by a super majority of 8 owners or more, each of the questions has now been answered:

Yes, by a vote of 7-2 (later votes would not achieve the 8 needed to change a rule)

b. Shall eligible prospects be those who have never received a card? or those who have not yet appeared in MLB?
By a vote of 9-0, eligible prospects shall be those who have not yet appeared in MLB

c. Should draft order be random and serpentine? or worst-record first, NFL style?
By a vote of 9-0, prospect draft order shall be worst-record first, NFL style

d. Shall prospects be allowed to be held indefinitely, until carded? or for a maximum of 2 years?
By a vote of 6-3, prospects shall continue to be allowed to be held indefinitely, until carded (later votes would not achieve the 8 needed to change a rule)

e. Shall the league continue to hold a supplemental draft?
By a vote of 9-0, there will no longer be a supplemental draft

f. Shall active rosters have a maximum of 40 players or 32?
By a vote of 7-2, active rosters will continue to have a maximum of 40 players

g. Shall teams hold 25-30 keepers, as now? or 20-24?
By a vote of 5-4, teams shall continue to hold 25-30 keepers (later votes would not achieve the 8 needed to change a rule)

sorry I missed the vote, but would have concurred with the majority so I like the changes, should help even the playing field. would have lost to majority, but only suggestion on prospects would have been keep for max of two years, then have to promote or lose. that's how we have it in another keeper league, but with eliminating anyone with MLB experience, a better amendment might be once he gets a card. shows what a great group this is with the participation level...

Plato said that democracy was not the best form of government . He said a benign dictatorship was preferable and more efficient. The fly in that ointment being that the word benign does not pair well with dictator. We in this venerable old league , old being relative I have sneakers older than this league , are lucky to have a functioning democracy and a happily benign dictator in tcochran .
