3) Prospects are those players who are the property of an MLB team and have not yet appeared in MLB.

I'll probably get outvoted on this, but it's one of the reasons, since we can't finish prospect drafts before the opening day of real baseball...once guys have appeared in games, takes a lot of mystery and guess work out, as many studs like bellinger, glasnow and arroyo to name just a few have already been given a shot this season, many unexpectedly or well ahead of schedule. again, if we're trying to beef up next year's FA draft, a lot of young prizes will already be spoken for. then again, the rebuilding teams go early in prospect draft too. anyone who's been in a game in 2017 already has a daily card.

This might require another quickie vote...but I definitely thought what Meat thinks. Hasn't it always been that we couldn't draft guys who had been carded? I thought the change we just made this week was that we couldn't draft anyone who had played MLB, ever, at the time of the draft. Bellinger would no longer qualify for the prospect draft as he played today.

That's what I thought.

It makes the prospect draft more about true prospects than just looking at the leading rookies at draft time...and beefs up the free agent draft significantly in the spring.

OK, we can see where this is going. Just a misunderstanding. But...I don't understand how this is a change from before. What did we vote to change about the prospect draft when we said "no MLB?" Seems like players like Bellinger, Puig a few years ago, or Mazara last year...they are still available, like they always were.
