It's bad enough some are doing it on their own. Let's not invite others to that "party".

You do realize Babe Adams both started and relieved in games, as a matter of fact he once pitched 23 innings in one game, I wonder was that gaming the game? Major league managers in the MLB playoffs get to start a pitcher in a game and then 2 days later bring them in for relief. If this is done I hardly see how this is gaming the game here.

Let’s not forget you can draft Babe Ruth or Mickey Mantle in this game, and if your opponents have an overabundance of lefty pitchers you can take the Babe or Mick that favors hitting lefty pitchers or if there is a preponderance of righty pitchers take the version that does better against righties. That is just optimizing the usage of your players.

The other thing the computer game can be set for is "daily injuries." So, if you have a player who's being overused, they'll just sit one out occasionally.

Best suggestion ive seen is the one where an 80IP reliever is R1. That would do wonders for usage.

Beyond that...yeah, I'm sick of seeing Dale Murray, Phil Weintraub and Gates Brown being overused. Also agree inflated HR totals due to extreme BP ratings is an issue.

Wonder how many people would still play if the BP switch was just turned off?

If you play almost exclusively 80M or below, as I do, then "just taking the Babe or Mick" is a tremendous salary hit, so it's not an automatic choice by any means, as I can buy 2 very good players for the cost of their great cards.

My problem is what honestiago said: Dale Murray shouldn't be the top $$ reliever in ATG. I also agree about outlier/small sample size cards Gates Brown, Weintraub, and the Cuckoo Christensen card that is currently on the New Card Add poll.

As I've said, what is it, 145 times now; create TWO ATG sets.
Set #1 would be an MLB set with cards from 1894 forward without the Murray, Gates Brown outlier cards, no other cards, simply MLB Cards.
Set #2 would be an Unleashed ATG set, with NeL cards, small sample size outlier cards, Japanese cards, pre-1894 cards, my 11 year old Little League card, whatever.

Best of both worlds.

The error is that Murray should be a R2.

And on my Little League Card, instead of an Injury on 2-12, you get a Sno Cone.

We didn't get those back then. We either won, we got better, or we learned to deal with it. 8-)
