Nice trade ! For both (as long as we don't change the prospects rules in this league too). Here's another example of when someone acquire an actual star player (Donalson) that is 30 and injured at the moment, it comes with the goods and the bads. I guess that the big thing for thechamp in this one is the prospect picks. And I suppose that his goal is to get a guy like Bellinger, Rosario, Torres or even Judge. When 2 guys make such a trade, they are both consenting. So, why change the rules after ? I prefer to say it now before someone asks later...

Yes, I think this was a good deal for both sides. My guys will become more relevant this year and the other side can re-build more quickly for future years.

Unlikely Champ is rebuilding, he needed a CF upgrade over McCutchen, and dealt from depth (also has Arenado, J.Ramirez, Villar), his team looks pretty loaded.

Yeah, wise move but having some depth doesn't reduce the value of Donaldson. For that reason, I don't think we should reduce the value of these prospects picks in the future.

Who said prospect picks value is reduced? In this league especially, prospect picks are valued more so than in most other leagues with only 4 maximum prospect roster, and 2 round prospect draft + players who are not carded [like for this year, Judge, Thames]. Many leagues have 3-4 rounds and only those without any MLB experience are available.

Because in RTY and CLV league (with many of the same guys here), some complained that the teams were now unbalanced. What I wanted to point here, is that when we make trades, usually, both sides are happy with it. But some trades are more for the present and others, a bit less for now and more for the future. So, I would appreciate if we don't change the prospect rules here because when somebody trades for prospect picks, he trades for these picks under the present rules, not amended rules if you follow me...

I understand and we voted on this issue last year, and it did not pass. I would be favor of knowing as soon as Season 2 is over that the prospect order is knows, it deters some trading options, as if someone had #1 prospect pick he may not be inclined to deal it. Having the #1 pick versus the #12 pick is a difference.
