I'm not sure. I just know you get too high up, the challenge is lost.

SIGNUP (top of the missive, so it's easy to spot). Sign up, and include a catchy nickname, if you wish:
1 honestiago, aka "Bound for (no)Glory."
2 george barnard, aka "Random Up, Pardner"
3 BC15NY, aka "Rio Roulette"
4 mykeedee, aka "Wonder? Boy"
5 tmfw30, aka "stoked for stochasticity"
6
7
8
9

RANDOMINATION: Get out of your comfort zone, with "Randomination," where the stadiums and the players are randomly determined each season.

Tired of seeing Dale Murray and Gates Brown? Well, maaaaaaybe they won't show up (maybe...we should all be so lucky...).:-)

Agreed. I think 1,000 cards is plenty.

Initial rosters will be somewhere around 300 players, initially. If we consider that the average team now uses 60-some odd players per season (based on 2010 numbers), and that 40-man rosters are typical, we could rule that the pool is 50 players per team, splitting the difference. That is a mere 600 players, doubling the initial pool.

However, I am not sure how comfortable managers are with a small pool (I have no problem with it). So...Maybe split the difference a bit, go with something like 750?

We could also put this to a vote.

We could also randomize the pool size each season, though I would suggest it never exceed 1,000.

Looks like 1,000 cards is the lowest setting available via the random set generator.

Thanks for checking. Then I propose we use that setting--1,000. As the set is new each time, each season will present a different challenge.
