Run Rickey, Run! (‘77 to ‘92) League

Showcasing players from baseball's Modern Golden Age in between the Modern Deadball Era of the 60s and 70s and the offensive onslaught of the 90s. Baseball in the 1980s featured a healthy balance of batting, pitching, running and a great all-around game.

Name of the league is Run Rickey, Run!. The league will only use players from 1977 through 1992. Scroll through the ATG shuffle the deck sets and you'll find Modern Golden Age ('77 to '92) set.


Gentlemen's Agreement: Relievers limited to no more than 150 innings

Based on some feedback from a similar league (the Lively Ball, 20-41 league), this league will observe a Gentlemen's Agreement not to exploit Relief Pitchers.

The rule is, Relievers limited to no more than 150 innings. In other words, don't use your settings to try to force as many innings as possible out of your top RP. ...so for those of you licking your chops looking at that 1977 Bruce Sutter card, he can be a great closer, but please don't plan on squeezing him for 250-300 IP and 25+ Wins.
