There has been a suggestion that we move to a one-hour clock for the second half of the initial free agent draft, since things appear to have slowed down a bit, now that the major stars have been picked.

Are there any objections to trying to speed things up?

Between email and posts in this thread, we have 15 responses so far -- which is outstanding! -- with 14 in agreement and 1 who is traveling saying "no".

It takes 16 votes to change a rule, so 2 more "yes" votes will move us to a one-hour clock.

Note to Jay: Send your cell phone number to me by email and I will text you when your turn is within a couple of hours of popping up. You can send me a couple of proxies and we'll be good to go!

Let's give it a try.

Sorry, this is not McDonald's -- special orders DO upset us. I'll probably go stir crazy if the draft drags along until Monday morning.

I would offer you the same option as JMP1: Send your cell phone number to me by email and I will text you when your turn is within a couple of hours of popping up. You can send me a couple of proxies and we'll be good to go!

We've been drafting for what is now the 16th day and are not yet halfway done. I find it unlikely that we'll be finished by monday even with 1 hour slots. Be Prepared to go crazy then.

I'm more concerned with the recent amount of picks of players already taken, But theres not really much we can do about that.

I will vote for 1 hr clock -

1 hour clock from 10am - 10pm for 10 rounds could still take about 2 weeks to complete

I vote for a on-hour clock, but give JMP1 some slack and extra help while he is traveling- let him know he is 3-4 hours away, as has already been suggested, and because we are changing in mid-stream, give anyone who asks (because of circumstances) for a temporary two-hour clock for himself for a few rounds.

True, so might as well enjoy it.
