Liverpool has three Prospect (not Free Agent) #1 Draft Picks in this year's draft. I believe #6, #8, and #11 overall. West Island, Petaluma, and Liverpool. I would like to trade one of them for a Prospect draft pick in next year's draft and Free Agent picks in this year's draft. I'm not looking for any #1s in return. Just curious to see what anyone wants to offer. The 5th pick overall is a solid prospect. I don't feel an urgent need to trade, but, I would like to flip a Prospect pick forward to next year and see what I can get for free agent picks, this year.
In addition, I have three highly regarded Shortstops in Lindor, Russell, and Arcia. I am sure I value them too highly for most, if not all, of the other managers to pay for. Nevertheless, if someone wants to sniff at one of them, they are all available. Yes, I know Russell is under performing while starting what appears to be a messy domestic problem and divorce. Yes, I know Lindor has picked up his power at the expense of a lot of batting average which I'm sure his batting instructors are trying to tweak. Yes, I know Arcia hasn't really proven much, yet. They are all 22 or 23 (Lindor turns 24 in November) and premier recent products of their farm systems (more so Oakland than Chicago for Russell). I don't have an inside track on any information apart from what's publicly available. I don't have a crystal ball. I only know what their upsides are at this stage of their careers.
As some of the other managers can attest to, my judgment of value is really screwed up and I am hugely inflexible. I've never made a trade in this league adding roster spaces and I can't imagine what I would be offered to do it, now. The majority of my trades involve draft picks coming back to me in exchange for whoever I am trading. I've traded three Cy Young award winners - all for draft picks, only. One look at my roster will give a good picture of how I think. Lots of prospects who have contributed two years or less to my team and no starting pitching to speak of. I'm not looking for established starting pitchers is what that means.
