tcochran,

What is the note about if you will not be carrying the player in the Strat Engine. Are you saying I could choose not to "carry" 3 guys with bad 07 years and replace them with others. In that case, I'd actually have a team of 31 players. (more to choose from for keeping for the next year) I don't think that is right. Or are you saying that if I have 3 (for example) of these guys listed here then I can only have a max of 25 in the strat engine game.

just want to make sure I understand.

also, will divisions stay same for all 10 years (hoping not)? Looks like Midwest division has all teams with 80M+ for 07 no low $$$ rosters in the division.

1) Each team may carry a 28 man roster, with 24-28 active on the Strat site at any one time, at the manager's discretion.

In other words, you can have as many active in the Strat game engine as the rules will allow, from min 24 to max 28. In this initial season, it means you can leave up to 4 bums out of sight, if you'd like. In later years, you might want to carry up to 3 uncarded players on your roster, although you do need to have 25 on your draft card to load a team.

* * * * *

7) Divisional assignments for each subsequent season will be determined by the final win/loss records of the previous season, with the six best teams in the East division and the following batches of six in each of the other divisions, from Central to Midwest to West.

thanks commish.

so I am right that I can have 4 keepers listed here but not on my 07 SOM team. And still have 28 on that team as well? so basically 32 guys to pick from to get my keepers for 08 and on.

and also we cannot pick up our extra guys (past 25) until AFTER waivers. not during waivers. that is a big deal that you may want to repeat in the 07 league. I was already putting down my #26-28 guys on the waivers list, I will remove them and wait for the frenzy after the waivers run.

sorry, I totally missed rule #7 about divisions.....duh

thanks,

Paul

NO, you can have up to 4 keepers that you are not going to play this season, but a MAX of only 28, whether they are playing or not

Don't know about that one, never tried it. Strat rules do not address this question. Does anybody know if we can fill a roster up to 28 during waivers?

Yes. you can definitely fill your roster to 28 through waivers. so are we doing that or not...if not, that needs to be made very clear as if anyone puts a guy on their waiver card without dropping someone, then they have gained an advantage.

thanks.

The rules do not say that you can only have 25 after waivers, so YES, use waivers to try to get to 28, if you wish -- although that does still include guys you would not want to see on the field in 2007

Concern about how to determine the first few picks in the annual draft seems to have been short-lived.

If this is not an issue that troubles most of the managers, then the rule will stay as written:

3) Draft order is determined by the previous regular season win/loss records: Reverse order, worst-record first, NFL style. Ties between teams will be handled as in the League Setup rules.
