I'm not leading the league in pre season adds/drops :

We'll see how the nickel & dime store bullpen does against division with very large bats. I think Sandlot Shrink was the last owner to try this tricky maneuver

yeah, your sims must be telling you that you're ok. ;)

Actually, I think Falcon spent around $3 mil total on the pen in the last NLD. You're a big spender compared to him.

I think you're going to be pretty good at home, but I'm not sure how the pitching will hold up on the road.

Also guys I would be remiss if I didn't thank you for getting everything in place so we could start today instead of next week. Much appreciated. :D

You're right.

Ironically, I nearly doubled Falcon's spending last year and got half as many innings out of my guys. Makes me feel like I wasted money

Not sure what the SIMs are telling me. Any roster I wish to make seems to leave me $.09m short in the payroll

Debating whether to wing it with three high priced pitchers and then pray for rain on Day 4. We'll. See if someone drops a cookie onto my lap.

My rotation is similar to what you describe, but six million less so, maybe not so much like you.

Wow, three one run games with Semper and we managed to luck into a couple of wins in our last at bat. Force extras with 2 in the bottom of the 9th and then won. Lost a game because Bowman made an error in the 8th (he's an e43 so I'm not shocked) and then won another with a run in the bottom of the 9th.

I debated long and hard before cutting Garcia loose for Hernandez and Arcia. I just didn't like having three poor hitters v lHSP even though the other six are very good, plus I didn't think Hernandez is *that* big a drop from Garcia. Any thoughts on that move?

I drop rzcepeipadkski for Cingrani only because I wanted another closer rating. They are pretty close.

I think we'll be OK. Our fielding isn't as good as I'd like, but I think we'll score some runs. The SPs (3 of 4) are $5 mil or more. Hopefully Stroman doesn't kill me.

Any thoughts on your teams?

I kept waiting for Semper's usual last minute blitz - but it never materialized. Too bad, since I rate his team better than mine - both at my home and at his.

I think I should be in the mix in the West, otherwise.

Yeah Semper, what's up with that?????

Semper is going to be pretty good with those SPs, especially in his park.

I'm still trying to figure out your lineups and platoons, but you look fairly strong especially at home.

I think Hawk is trying to prove that you don't need to play defense to win. I guess Rizzo is your token good fielder Hawk??? ;) He clearly is the anomaly on your squad!

My lineups changes can be pretty weird. For example, Reynolds over Crawford against a heavy lefty weighted starter like Duffy. Also, at home Rivera's arm will likely start over McCann vs. RPH, since BPSs are so strong. I'm probably overpaying for McCann as primarily a backup C. Owings and Hernandez at 2B depends on matchups. Same with Owings and Bell at DH. OF will will mix in Quinn when matchups are favorable, although I prefer to go with better defensive OFs. DH will likely move around between Bell, Hernandez, Reynolds and Quinn.

I've put more emphasis on OBP than I usually do and tended to go for good clutch hitters with the better chance of having runners stranded.

Ok, that explains it. I was wondering there for a minute.

Good series tonight, close games. Somehow we continued our late inning heroics, getting the go ahead run in the top of the 9th and the top of the 10th in two wins.

Watching Diekman lose two was not fun! Actually with my starter matchup ratings, those three games were just like on paper. I gave you a slight edge in the first two and a big edge to me in the third - didn't count on Diekman's performance, though.

Cabrere's 2 for 23 start is painful - but other guys are making up for it.

I need to get more familiar with the cards. I've been swamped with work and kids. The last two fa periods feel like trying mash widely assorted square peg for round holes.

It seems as if the parks overall trended bigger. Purely anecdotal, but seems like lefty bphr in particular is less on average than normal.
