Strange SS Substitution

In a playoff game, HAL inserted Andrew Romine as a late-inning defensive replacement for Alcides Escobar. Romine's a 2 and Escobar is a 1. There was no injury and I did not have my settings set for a defensive substitution.

was it part of a double switch? or just a straight defensive substitution?
