Question on players being traded to AL- Jay Bruce traded to AL but if he has an NL card for next strat( 2017 cards) season he would still be -technically- an NL player for next year, correct?

When the online set is released next year if he's assigned to the AL, he is an automatic cut. It's based on the online set, then I go through and see who's not an NL guy that was the previous season.

He is still an NL guy for our Season 2 since he's with the Mets for the 2016 season online set
