Just want to be sure I have this right - Cecil Fielder is a Det 6/NYY 1/Cal 1. Detroit wasn't picked but since he is a Core 4+ for them no one can put Fielder on their draft list. Angels or Yanks can claim him in waivers or free agency.

Actually since DET doesn't exist in this league Fielder is considered NYY1/CAL1 so both the Yankees and Angels can include them on their auto draft cards

the athletics only have one catcher. there are a few core 4+ for other teams. just wanted to bring up the possibilty that i could end up with one catcher. i will have to pick 2 for the autodraft. i will pick one from an unselected team. but think about what you want to do if i only end up with one from the athletics.

I wonder if KC would let you have Mayne? They've got 2 way better Core4+ guys in Macfarlane and Sweeney. I've got Hatteberg but was planning to use him in Boston.

I think that the only C that nobody will have any access to is Dave Nilsson from MIL. You could use him to get through AD and then figure it out from there.

Yes I saw that when I was reviewing the rosters. As Falcon suggested Mayne looks to be a good option, I'll reach out to Yountfan to let him know that we're considering assigning Mayne to your A's.

Mayne is assigned to the A's. You can obviously still try and acquire any other affiliated catchers but now you will be assured of having two.

Rosie - Another rule question. Mike Piazza is a Core 5+ player who also played for another team (6 LA and 2 NYM). If I leave Piazza off of my auto draft card can the Mets grab him during waivers? Or do the Dodger have exclusive rights to Piazza?

I learned the hard way in the 70s that you have to have Piazza on your AD list or you can lose him to the Mets.
