Looks like we are done, I'll certify the rosters today with a target to unleash waivers this afternoon PT.

Please ensure your rosters are at 25 max and players are dropped that should be.
tks!
Rosie

Rosters that need to be adjusted...
AL
1. Royals - Need to release Todd Jones, drafted by MIN. I board drafted Bryan Rekar for you below, of course you don't have to keep him but it allows you to release Jones. Also I board drafted Joe Vitiello for you as he is on your roster and can be, but he wasn't on your AD list, but because you have picks left in the board draft its legit for you to have picked him instead of passing. Also board drafted Mike Magnante as he's on your roster but wasn't Auto drafted.
2. Twins - Had Rich Becker on roster, added him to board draft instead of a pass.

NL
1. Cardinals - added Brian Jordan to the board draft instead of a pass as he's on your roster and was not Auto drafted.
2. Pirates - added Dave Clark to the board draft instead of a pass as he's on your roster and was not Auto drafted.
3. Giants - need to release Sterling Hitchcock.
4. Dodgers - to make them whole from a pitching staff, release Grahe and pick up Clontz. I added Clontz and Munoz to the board draft below, all other clubs that could claim them passed.
5. Astros - Added Mike Brumley to board draft, on roster and not on AD. Need to release John Wasdin, plenty of pitchers to pick up for HOU. I highlighted them all in Green on your spreadsheet.

Re: 90.2 Free Agent Draft - Royals up

PostWed Nov 08, 2017 8:15 pm

FREE AGENT SIGNING PERIOD:

The FA period is a two round draft in reverse order of regular season finish where each team can 'sign' pick two players off of another roster, in the case of ties we will use the SOM tie breakers. Those players have to have a card or have been identified per the spreadsheet to have played for the club picking them up. Each club can only lose 2 players to free agency. Immediately after a player is picked from a club the club that lost a player can protect any player still on their roster.

If one of your players is drafted off your roster you have the right to counteroffer for that player by using both your picks to keep him. Then the other club can also 'up' their offer to two picks to acquire that player. If by trade either club has acquired a 3rd or 4th pick than those can be used to 'up' the offer as well. The new club has the tie breaker. If the guy you draft is retained by their existing club you pick again.

Amendment 1:
When its your turn to pick in the FA draft you may elect to pick one of your own players. In that case you don't get to protect another player on your roster as you would if another club selected one of your players.

*New for 90's, Amendment 2:
If one of your players is drafted off your roster AND he's is listed as a Core6+ for you, your counteroffer for that player is only one pick, not the two listed above. The competing club can't up their offer, the bidding is over.

***Please allow time for the potential interaction per pick. Also remember that the team that loses a guy has to make their protection pick***

Below is the draft order for the FA draft.

Here's how we are going to handle guys that are Core4+ for 2 teams. By my count the players in question are all listed below...if you come across someone I missed please post here.

I've included Core4+x2 sheets for both batters and pitchers within the 90's Mystery BAL - KC google doc.
Batters:
Larry Walker - MON5 COL5 - Now Property of COL
Rafael Palmeiro - BAL5 TEX5 - Now Property of TEX
Omar Vizquel - CLV6 SEA4 - Now Property of SEA
Tino Martinez - SEA6 NYY4 - Now Property of SEA

Pitchers:
Tom Gordon - KC6 BOS4 - Now Property of BOS
Jeff Nelson - NYY4 SEA4 - Now Property of SEA
Scott Erickson - MIN5 BAL4 - Now Property of MIN
Kirk Rueter - SF4 MON4 - Now Property of MON

Both clubs can auto draft them, highest ranked wins. However, season 2 rights to that player go to the club that didn't get him in season 1, keeper or resigning during free agency by the season 1 club is not allowed. Season 2 club may however trade those rights.

If we were to ever expand out to more than 2 seasons we might treat Vizquel, Martinez, Gordon and Erickson differently.

Batters with more than two affiliated clubs:
Will Clark - TEX5 SF4 BAL1 - SF has no rights to Clark unless TEX doesn't AD him
Steve Finley - SD4 HOU4 BAL1 - SD has no rights to Finely unless HOU doesn't AD him
Wally Joyner - KC4 SD4 CAL2 - SD has no rights to Joyner unless KC doesn't AD him
Mike Stanley - NYY4 BOS4 TEX2 TOR1 - NYY has no rights to Stanley unless BOS doesn't AD him
Willie McGee - STL5 SF4 BOS1 - SF has no rights to McGee unless STL doesn't AD him
Lenny Harris - LA4 CIN4 NYM1 COL1 - No play in season 1, both core4 teams can AD

Both Core4+ clubs can auto draft these players, highest rank wins. The club that has them in season 1 has no rights in season 2. Those rights go to the other Core4+ club and the rights cannot be traded until after the free agency draft. However the other teams listed can claim these players during Free Agency after season 1 or pick them up if they are ever waived during either season. Free agency rules apply so the season 2 club can use the resigning clause if the player is claimed during the FA draft.
