When are we thinking to kick off the draft?

Well, assuming everyone is in, probably a few days after because Stoney will have to set the Salaries and add in the "unleashed" players. So, if I had to guess, maybe end of next week? We still haven't heard from Semper or Hawk. I did hear from Semper, he survived the Hurricane in decent shape it would appear. That's probably why he hasn't replied yet however. I sent emails to both he and Hawk so I expect to hear from them soon.

FYI, Catfish Hunter, Rollie Fingers and Reggie Jackson were all born in '46. During the As run of 3-straight World Series, they won a Cy Young, an AL MVP, and 2 WS MVP awards among them..All have their numbers retired by the A's. Perhaps the 46th season should in some way pay homage to these 3 greats.

I don't know man. I'm not much of an A's fan. It would breaking with the pattern to use birth year. I guess we could have the Reggie Cat-Fingers League.

Since I'm a Giants fan, maybe we should have the Bobby Bonds league since he was born in 1946 too.

The candidates by number are Andy Pettitte and Lee Smith.
