Looking for a reliable CD rom buddy

I'm a 55 year old family man. Started playing Strat in 1975.

About 10 years ago a buddy of mine and me...we played a season or two of the Computer chess like type game. But he got tired of it and didn't want to play anymore. That was the end of that.

Didn't know about these Strat forums then.

All this football talk has me pumped to play Strat football again. And the 365 game seems like it's going to be a work in progress.

But as others havd pointed out. The Computer online net play game head to head in real time is not broken and it's a blast.

Is there anyone on this forum who would be interested in replaying a season with me using the PC Windows net play version of the game?

I am open to any 1963 to 1978 season.

I am extremely reliable. Wednesday nights work best for me.

And I am NOT a chatty person. But we have need to use our phones to set up the game. Then once we start playing we switch to text ...using the text box in the game.

This will be a long commitment. A game or two a week. And it may take a long time to completely replay an entire season.

I am not Interested in Auto playing games.

This will be net play for each and every game. Replaying an entire season.

Anyone interested?

I just realized from an email... I'm probably not typing it out correctly at the forum.
Explaining what I am looking to join with someone.

I don't have the Strat computer terminology down.
I think it is called net play.
It's a real time game. We can see each other ...that we are online.
We play like its a chess match.
Taking turns, making moves in real time.
I think a game lasts about 1-1/2 hours to play.

I set the year and the league up.
We email files to each other.
Stats are on both our computers since we are the only two people playing in the league.
We both build the league stats yearbook at the same time.
Playing one or two games a week. Mostly Wednesday nights.
It will take a long time to play out a full season but it's a lot of fun.

If it's my team against yours, well, it's obvious who we each play with.
If it's my team against my team or your team against your team, the owner of the two teams gets choice of who he wants to be.

Emphasize 6 rated linebackers. On.

Looser substitution restrictions. On.

Chris - Ever thought about doing the same sort of thing but only with more guys -- seems like there has been a lot of people saying they enjoy playing football and were excited for the launch but now are going to hold off on playing until the new game works. Might be a perfect time to get a handful of guys together that are committed to doing a season. I'd be interested in that, especially if we started with the 1976 season and then kept it going in some kind of franchise format.

Is doing that even feasible? I've seen a few online leagues that appear to be doing just that but I've never played the cd-rom version and I've never used netplay so don't really know. I realize that is quite a bit different than what you are looking for but sounds like you're familiar with the system and so thought I would ask.
