Something occurred to me that may be a potential problem. I believe we are required to list any player we have protected or just drafted on our draft card, correct? (otherwise what would prevent us from leaving off players in hopes of drafting improvements and just reclaiming them if the improvements didn't happen?) The reason I ask is I now have 12 pitchers and only 11 spots on the draft card. Some other teams have 15 batters and only 14 spots on the card. In my case, I have Kevin Correia who will not be on my active roster that I could declare inactive before the draft, but not sure if that is allowed and not sure if the other teams would be able to do the same. Don't think it would be a big problem if someone had to leave off one player to satisfy strat draft requirements but just wanted some clarification.

No worries. Teams are required to load 25 players when the league is formed, 14 batters and 11 pitchers. After the season starts, you can have 24-28 active on the Strat site at any one time, at the manager's discretion.

Managers will have 25-28 players on their rosters at the end of the draft. These players belong to those managers, whether they are carded in the current season or not.

Any players still available after the draft is concluded can be selected to round out rosters when loading teams. For example, I have 26 players -- including 3 who are uncarded -- so I will need to add 2 during the team load - waivers - frenzy period.

I had a similar issue with my roster. I had 13 carded position players for 2008 by the second round of the draft but only one catcher. So in that case, could I only draft a catcher and no additional position players because of the strat draft requirements? Or could I take a position player with a 2008 card but not put him on my draft card for the autodraft? I just chose to draft pitchers once my position player roster was full.

It looks like you have 24 on your roster right now, with 2 of those uncarded, so 22 ready to load. You will need to select 3 from the available players, including 1 catcher, in order to load your team.

Sorry Terry if I'm being a little confused with this. After the free agent draft I will have 24 carded players including 12 pitchers. So I have to leave one of them off my draft card, presumably Kevin Correia, because of the 11 pitcher limit. My question is am I free to leave others off as well. I have Ryan Franklin that I would like to leave off if allowed in order to try and get an improvement during autodraft. If I don't get anyone better then Franklin, he would be back on the active roster. Obviously you would be limited to 3 players that you could do this with because of our 28 maximum roster.
