For once I'm not going into a season with a boatload of platoons and a massive roster. I'm moving close to what Big A does - having a bunch of everyday players.

But I'm still playing with platoons and depth at 3b and the outfield/DH, so that's still 5 out of 9 roles. But I've got Marte, Trea Turner and Betts as everyday players. No, I'm not going to drop Betts this time!!!!! :o

Aw, come on GB, you're ruining the fun!!!

So you're just platooning at 3b and LF? Where are you planning on playing Turner?

Yes, for sure. It works for me! Although never a big A's fan, those early-70s teams were fun to watch during my teens as I was learning the game. I especially loved how they seemed to stick together and yet seem rebellious, much like their football neighbor Raiders. It was a sad time when they began to gut that team in search of the almighty dollar, something that is now quite commonplace in the game. Ahh, simpler times...

Ok. Good.

Yeah, never cared for the A's, but I might have been a little jealous as a pre-teen with the Giants not getting to the series.

Lots of moves from Dale and Semper today, but there are still some teams with cap room. I guess we'll have to wait to see what they do....

And, we're off! Some interesting lineup combinations out there. Interesting strategies for sure.

I made Zero post waiver moves. I thought I might be alone in that, but when looking there were a few more that didn't make any additional moves as well. Transactions were primarily (as mentioned) from just 2 or 3 Owners.

Pleased with Day 1. But, I've swept day 1 before and then went on a losing streak so no bighead here.
