1900-1919 Deadball League - Only 1 Spot Left!

PostMon Oct 02, 2017 7:00 pm

Just opened things up for one of these, using the set created by Chris Franco. Great set of players, some really interesting strategies to pursue, almost none of them built around HRs, LOL.

Just bumping cuz we're halfway there, and a bunch of guys who played last go-round suggested they wanted to play again and maybe haven't seen we've got something under way.....too long a delay after the last Championship!

Deadball Strat is great! A whole new ballgame!

Got 11, need our 12th for the most exciting & distinctive Strat set around--Cobb, Speaker, Tinkers, Evans and Chance square off on the diamond vs. Cy Young, the Big Train and the Big Six and a young Babe Ruth! It's great baseball!

The name's "Evers".....dadblasted! Not Evans! That was Roy Roger's wife for pete's sake!!!

Baseball's Sad Lexicon
:These are the saddest of possible words:
"Tinker to Evers to Chance."
Trio of bear cubs, and fleeter than birds,
Tinker and Evers and Chance.
Ruthlessly pricking our gonfalon bubble,
Making a Giant hit into a double –
Words that are heavy with nothing but trouble:
"Tinker to Evers to Chance."
