if and when I realize tat my team sucks and need to make a change...can I drop one of my free agent picks and pick a different FA from the remaining 6 teams?

We all retain exclusive rights to our two drafted franchises whether or not those players on our active roster. Just to clarify the suggestion, would this mean that all undrafted players on the six remaining undrafted franchises are eligible to be added/dropped by any team at any time (with a max of two FA on the roster)? If so, do we retain the rights to our drafted FA players if we drop them, or could someone else pick up that person? (i.e. If I drop Segura, can someone else pick him up?)

I'm fine with the decision either way, I'm just trying to sketch it out to avoid any confusion.

You do not own rights to the player if you drop him. That would essentially give you rights to 3 players if that were the case. I'll add this to The Rules for now and the future. This is the first time anyone has asked this.
