I kinda like what the Padres have done in the off-season (speaking as a fan of this league in general, and not as the Toronto GM !). Picking up McGriff, and Fernandez at SS, looks good to me!

For the Jays, I’m excited to have both Cone and Morris at SP! Having lost Stieb, it reminds me a lot of the WS winning 1992 staff, except that I have lefty Leiter instead of lefty Key. I’m excited to also have Candiotti, Guzman, Wells, and Hentgen. With 7 SPs I should end up with 4 or 5 good SP cards (Guzman is not an SP*, so if I have 1 of Guzman’s good cards, it could be a 5 man rotation.

For the Reds, losing Kevin Mitchell is tough, but again, I feel like I have better depth at SP for the Reds this season. Although I lost Rijo, i acquired 2 SPs (Morgan and Harnisch). The Reds starters are like a committee, so I’m hoping that I get 4 or 5 good cards out of the bunch of them.

Keepers are good, but just because you protected McGwire and Eck during the FA Draft you still need to put them on your AD card or risk losing them in waivers. Wanted to make sure you were aware of that.
