I’ll request a Randomizer this morning. The number string will refer to our signup numbers above. The first number in the string will indicate which of us gets the letter H (from the list below). The second number will indicate which gets S-Sos, and so on. For instance, if the first 2 numbers in the string are 9 and 2, cminton will have the H’s, rynecrazy will have S-Sos.

The ATG Love & Mercy White Elephant League
This is an auto-draft $120MM DH league with 20% cuts, using the entire ATG set.
Once 12 sign up, we’ll randomly assign the letter groups below. You will have exclusive rights to all carded players whose last names begin with your letter(s) - to and through the auto-draft. Here’s the list, sorted high-to-low by the total monetary value of all cards under each letter group.

The teams/letters will also have specific divisional assignments, in the order above, first 4 in East, next 4 in Central, last 4 in West.
Before we load the league and run the auto-draft we will conduct a six-round “Love and Mercy” White Elephant draft on the board, during which I don’t expect to see much of either.
The player pool for the L&M draft will include all players whose last names begin with the letters L O V E M R C & Y. Let’s call this the L&M pool.

Here’s how the draft works...
We go in order as one would expect, except that the persons who pick 11 and 12 in the first round have a white elephant option: they can either choose an available player from the draft pool or “steal” any player picked 1-10 during round 1. Anyone who loses a player to the white elephant will pick another player right after #12 picks AND they move to a white elephant position (11/12) for the next round of the draft. All others will serpentine. The draft is 6 rounds.

After the draft: Build your auto-draft roster working with the 6 players you acquire through the WE draft, and all players with last names of your assigned letter(s). You must include your 6 WE draft selections on your list!
In order to keep rights to players beyond the auto-draft, they need to be on your auto-draft list. No ownership rights remain, other than possession, once waivers begins. There should be zero conflicts in the auto-draft, because everyone will have a unique pool from which to draw. Everyone should get the 25 they specify!
From waivers until after the first night’s games are run, teams are limited to 6 players from the L&M pool. Therefore, during pre-season, the only way you can add a player from that group is by dropping one of your 6 from the WE draft. All other free agents (those from the assigned letters) are eligible for all teams.
Once the season begins, teams can pick up any free agent they wish, including from the L&M pool. However, we will be using 20% drops from day 1.
You must choose a ballpark with a name that begins with your assigned letter(s). It is possible that more than one team ends up in the same park. If you have part of a letter, you can still choose any park which begins with that letter. For instance, the two managers who split the B’s can each use any park with a name beginning with the letter B.
Stating the obvious, you can use any card for any player, within the rules/constraints set above.
I have an Excel sheet organized by the relevant groupings which I’ll be happy to share with participants.
