Hmmmm. I figured we'd be starting the season this Monday. But that's starting to look like a long shot.

Yeah, the biggest problem being that most managers don't even know what team they have. Hard to whip together that many rosters in time even if Buda replied right now.

First, I obviously hope everyone is OK and that this is some sort of oversight or something. This is definitely an outlier in terms of these leagues, both for Buda disappearing and for Charles not keeping us posted. So I have a bit of a concern for them and hope that all is well.

But second, and related to the dust-up a few leagues ago, we should discuss a set rule about franchise picks and entering leagues. Maybe a 12, 18, or even 24 hour limit and then you get skipped in the rankings or replaced.

Well stated, dr.red. You are spot on - I want to start this league but people's well-being takes precedent.

I'm in lock-step with your idea about the time limit. As long as a rule like this is established going in then it makes perfect sense.

I will message a few managers tonight and ask if they are interested in playing budabear's team, He may be on vacation or something occurred unexpectedly that requires his full attention. We have played 25 leagues and he has participated in almost everyone, it's unlike him to be away for this length of time. I am confident he will understand us moving on without him this go around.
