Bobby Bonds ties A-Rod at 38.0. Great guess though salty.

Will Clark 34.1
Bob Johnson 32.1

Already listed Fred Lynn earlier, salty, but he’s at 32.0

Another hint: these two guys played on successful franchises during their careers, but were never the stars of their teams.

Another hint: both these players played alongside iconic outfielders for their respective franchises. (And by “alongside” I don’t mean these two players were necessarily outfielders)

If not for a ruptured disc in 1947, which pretty much ruined his career, Keller would’ve been a sure-fire HOFer.

The following players averaged at least a .900 OPS in each of their first eight seasons:
Albert Pujols
Frank Thomas
Ted Williams
Johnny Mize
Charlie Keller

Highest OPS in Yankees history (min 1000 PA):
1. Babe Ruth
2. Lou Gehrig
3. Mickey Mantle
4. Joe DiMaggio
5. Charlie Keller (.928 OPS in 4466 PA)
