White Elephant (WE) Rules
The WE draft pool consists of all players whose last names begin with the letters LOVEMRCY
The draft is 6 rounds
Each round, the 11 and 12 picks have the option of “stealing” any player picked 1-10 DURING THAT ROUND.
If you’re picking 11 or 12 and you don’t steal, you stay in a 11-12 WE position for the next round of the draft.
If you lose a player to the White Elephant you pick again right after 12, then move to one of the White Elephant positions in the next round; the higher seed gets 11 if two are moving.
If you exercise the White Elephant, you will pick either 1 or 2 in the following round. 12 goes to 1 if both exercise.
Everyone else will serpentine each round.

Please use whoever picks first each round as a proxy for that round if you won’t be able to keep close track of the draft progression. You can PM him with your preferred pick(s) as it gets close to your turn.


A Couple Reminders

You must use a ballpark with a name that begins with your letter, or one of your letters, if you have more than one. If you have part of a letter, you can use any park with a name beginning with that letter.

The 6 players you pick up in the WE draft must be included on your auto draft list.
You can trade any player you control at the time of the trade.
You control your letter players exclusively, until the auto draft runs.
In waivers and after, all unowned players are free agents.
However, you can carry only a maximum of 6 players from the LOVEMRCY group until AFTER opening night’s games run.
From that point on, the limit on the number of LOVEMRCY players is lifted.

When do we start?

I figure everybody will want a day or two to review their players and ballpark choices in order to prepare for the draft...so hopefully we'll start drafting over the weekend. I'll add another post setting that up here this evening or tomorrow. Also, since this one took a long time to fill, I've sent some PM's in an effort to make sure they're aware we're underway.

The following owners aren't in any leagues with me...and I'm not 100% sure they know...so if you are in a league with any of them and want to message them there, that would be great.

Lets get this draft going.

With a 120M cap it is not like you can just blindly choose all the most expensive players. Because of that there may be less stealing than if it was an unlimited cap. Maybe I'm wrong about that. We'll see. I have the first opportunity to steal. I also think the first round may have more stealing going on than round 2-6.
