Question -my home field McAfee Stadium changed its name back to Oakland–Alameda County Coliseum do I have to use one of my draft selections to deal with this name change?

McAfee was offered a renewal of the naming contract in 2008, but it was declined. The name reverted to the pre-1997 name of Oakland–Alameda County Coliseum on September 2008

Name changes do not require any action on a manager's part. Even responding to structural changes is optional:

5) If a team’s stadium is replaced in real life (like Yankee Stadium), then that owner will have the option of keeping the new replacement stadium or releasing it to draft another.

Terry, can you have SOM unlock a 2009 team for all of us so that we can start interacting with the cards and not just the spreadsheet? It makes a huge difference for me.

Or, are we allowed to approach them separately about that?

As I was looking up the 2009 stadium info in the Player Set Browser, I was reminded that all card images are readily available there, too, with no 2009 team required for viewing.

Instead of looking at the cards, my tendency is to start with the spreadsheets and then study historical info for splits and ratios. For those who do want to see the cards, though, they are always available.

So since I have the aforementioned Yankee Stadium, and we're heading into 2009, have I missed the boat to make a change by not stating it before the draft began? I don't live in New York, and HATE the Yankees, so knowing that 2009 was when they moved across the street isn't exactly part of my useless trivia knowledge-base, (although it will be now).

That rule means that you are allowed to keep the new stadium, if you wish, with no action required.

You are also allowed to change stadiums as often as you'd like, as long as you drop your old one prior to the start of an annual draft.

4) The final round of the annual free agent draft will be for stadium selection. Only those owners who have released their current stadium prior to the beginning of the annual draft will be allowed to draft a new one.

Still offering a 3rd round pick in any future season for anyone's upcoming 3rd round pick.
