We will be unlikely to see any of these cards this year. Heck we may not see the last set before Xmas

No, I'm mostly a full glass (or snifter) type. It's just that this particular glass is broken, so it takes a few full mugs to wash the taste out

I'd like to nominate 2006 Freddy Sanchez. Hit 344, led the league in doubles, a three-time all-star and has no card in the set. And the post WWII Pirates are pretty thin at 3rd base.

but I knew not to expect anything before New Years, but January '18 is half gone.

not life or death, but it does seem as if, unless you spend a half hour on this board every day, it is hard to stay current.

It's the R3 designation that seems out of place to me. I thought it was innings / appearances = Relief rating.
Both House and Sanders are sub 2 using that formula. Guess I'm wrong.
