This may be a dumb question but what about players with cards in multiple franchises? I assume that the player that drafts him gets him, as long as he's on the correct roster, correct? For example, if I take Pittsburgh and manage to draft Bonds I can use his Pitt card and the Giants team is out of luck.

To clarify, you can pick any card of any player that ever played for your franchise - he does not need to have a Strat card for your teams. Even a single inning. So research is key, Baseball Reference is the default for determining eligibility.

I think I understand. This is going to be more involved than I thought, and I'm sure half my drafted players will end up on other teams.

Just to make sure I understand - if I have the franchise that takes the New York Mets I COULD steal Willie Mays away from the Giants franchise if they're not careful, right?

Also, I need some clarification on the rules. As I understand it, I can use any card issued for a player on my franchise, regardless of whether that card is part of my franchise. Using Bonds as an example, if I have Pittsburgh as my franchise I can use Bond's SF Giants card instead of his Pittsburgh card. Is that correct? Or am I only to use Bond's Pittsburgh card?
