If it was within the rules for you to drop them, then why couldn't he just drop them now? honest question, not implying anything. I wondered why McGowen and Grudz were even on his list and not dropped from the start. Mcgowan has no card for the next 5 seasons.

Just accepting players to drop them seems silly. If we wanted to allow that, we could just let willmurr drop them. This is not covered in the rules, but the best bet would probably be for willmurr to trade a guy or two who could actually stay on somebody else's roster (just as thechamp87 did last week).
