Tommy Davis is officially on lockdown.

The agreement was that returning managers wouldn’t pick the same team AND season. So same team, different season, is ok. Thus, 61 Yanks in season one and 56 Yanks in season two is fine. I hope to see some different teams, because they’re in the set, and I like the novelty of it. But, I understand some of us really, really, like their favorite team(s)!

ALSO, I WANT TO MAKE SURE OUR NEW PARTICIPANTS ARE CLEAR ON THE POINT THAT THERE’S A SPLIT BEFORE AND AFTER WWII, AND THAT THERE CAN BE TWO VERSIONS OF EACH FRANCHISE IN THE LEAGUE...SUCH THAT THE PRE-WAR YANKEES AND DODGERS ARE STILL ON THE BOARD.

To clear up a rule I am not sure about. If for example you have the 1957 Reds and a player was on the Reds after 1947 but his only cards are for pre-Reds can you use him on a post/exp Reds team

Yes you can. The qualifying rule is whether he played for your franchise post ‘46. If so, he qualifies for your team. And if he qualifies, you can use any card in the set for him, pre, post, non-Reds cards, etc. Of course, if someone went for a pre-war Reds team, you’d be in competition.

DIVISONAL ASSIGNMENTS

Just as in our first season, commish will be assigning teams to specific divisions. The context is where they are now, and secondarily, where they’ve been in the past.

Some teams will automatically be in the East, unless there are too many - ie Yanks, Mets, BoSox, Phillies, Orioles
Some teams will automatically be in the West, unless there are too many - ie Dodgers, Giants, A’s
Some teams will automatically be in the Central, unless there are too many - ie Cards, Cubs, Pirates, Indians
ChiSox, Twins, Reds, Royals start central fade west
Tigers start central fade east
Braves can be in west or east
